Take a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge which will give you and your lover a bird’s eye view of the expansive Manhattan skyline. A ride on the Staten Island Ferry lets you see Manhattan from the water with views of the Statue of Liberty and the famous Ellis Island. Take a side trip to Brooklyn in the springtime and stroll amidst the flowers of the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. See the lions roar at the Bronx Zoo and be sure you sit beneath the stars at the Hayden Planetarium. Go to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building and kiss at the observatory just like in the movies.
Dining and Nightlife in New York City Any type of cuisine at any time of day or night is available to New Yorkers and visitors alike. If you like Italian, head to Little Italy, if you are in the mood for Asian, go to Chinatown. Indian, Thai and international cuisine are all waiting to tempt your tastebuds when you are in New York. There are not many cities that can compete with New York when it comes to nightlife. There are comedy clubs, quaint cafes and pubs, any number of venues where you can hear any type of music that moves your feet and a variety of dance clubs where you can twist the night away. There is always something happening when the sun sets in New York City.
New York City with the Family Kids will enjoy the hustle and bustle of New York City. Take them to a kid friendly Broadway show. Take the day and spend it in Central Park where they can visit the Central Park Zoo and ride the carousel. If you are looking for a bigger and better zoo experience, head to the Bronx Zoo. Head to Brooklyn and take the kids to the New York Aquarium. The Museum of Natural History is a perfect place to spend the day where the kids can get a glimpse of dinosaurs and a variety of interesting and educational exhibits. Don’t forget to take them to the biggest toy store at F.A.O. Schwartz. The Empire State building and a ride to the Statue of Liberty will be a big hit as well.
With the revamping of Times Square there are plenty of kid friendly places to be found such as the Disney Store and if you are in the city during the holidays, a trip to Radio City to see the Christmas extravaganza is a must. They will also love visiting the Sony Wonder Technology Lab.
