With more than 4000 acres of green space, you will leave the city far behind. There are numerous theatres such as the El Capitan Theatre, the Warner Grand Theatre and the Walt Disney Concert Hall which is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic if you prefer more cultural pursuits.

When in Southern California you cannot miss the beaches. Take a trip to Venice Beach and see the bodybuilders pumping iron, go to the private enclave of Malibu Beach and see if you can espy a celebrity along the shoreline and the Santa Monica Pier is a must see as well. A drive up the Pacific Coast Highway is a romantic journey where you can stop and explore whatever suits your fancy. Head to the hills and take a guided tour of Beverly Hills where you can go past some of your favorite celebrities’ homes. Stroll Rodeo Drive with your credit card at the ready. Stop at any number of trendy boutiques and well known shops where you can break the bank or just browse the merchandise.

Los Angeles is filled with bars, dance and comedy clubs and late night venues. Whether you visit the trendy Sky Bar, the legendary Frolic Room or head over to the Magic Castle for drinks and dancing, you can find somewhere different to hang out every night of the week and be guaranteed to have a blast.

California cuisine is well known for it’s daring, and you will find no shortage of restaurants that serve regional California cuisine, French, Italian, continental and international fare. When you are out near the beach make sure you stop in a charming restaurant perched on the water and sample some freshly caught seafood dishes as you watch the waves roll to the shore. There are many Mexican as well as Chinese restaurants that serve taste tempting dishes that will please the palate.

Los Angeles with the Family
Los Angeles is an ideal vacation destination to take the whole family. There is much for both the kids and the adults to enjoy together. Everyone will enjoy the studio tours and a visit to Mann’s and a stop at the Los Angeles Zoo and the La Brea Tar Pits are sure to be a huge hit. Griffith Park is a great place to wile away an afternoon where the kids can take a pony, wagon or miniature train ride.

Grab the pails, shovel, sunscreen and towels and head to one of the beaches for an afternoon of sun, surf and sand. Of course there is always California Adventure and Disneyland to thrill both kids and adults alike.
